Introducing the Vice Chancellor of Human Resources
Search Finalists

 

The Search Committee has announced that there are two finalists being considered for the Vice Chancellor of Human Resources and Equal Opportunity role.

Finalists are being invited to visit the district on Wednesday, August 14, to participate in open public forums that provide the opportunity for employees, students and community members to meet the candidates and hear their vision and experience to lead the Human Resources Division in our District.

All forums will be held on Wednesday, August 14, 2024 and will be available in-person in the District Board Room (Building D700, Room 101) (printable map) or via webinar. The candidate names and biographies are below. The webinar link is available in the meeting invitation that was sent to all employees. We encourage everyone's participation in this process and value your input for this important role.

Each candidate will be asked a series of questions prepared in advance. You can submit a question for the candidate forums by using the Candidate Question Form. Please submit your question(s) by Noon, Tuesday, August 13.

Dianna Rose, J.D.

Dianna Rose is a dynamic executive with extensive leadership experience within a 26-year career in Human Resources and Employee Relations, serving as the Chief Negotiator in both education, municipalities, and private sector. She currently serves as the Vice President of Human Resources and EEO at Hartnell College. Ms. Rose’s success in working with all constituent groups is grounded in her commitment to principled leadership. She recognizes the importance of developing and maintaining relationships built on trust, integrity, and respect. Prior to her current position, she exemplified servant leadership while serving as Interim Chancellor, while still performing duties as the Senior Vice Chancellor of Administrative and Student Affairs at San Francisco Community College District. Ms. Rose also served as Deputy Chancellor of Human Resources, Compliance, Risk Management & Public Safety, and Vice Chancellor of Human Resources at City College of San Francisco where she was instrumental in modernizing HR practices to ensure compliance and operational efficiency.

Ms. Rose holds a J.D. from the University of Utah College of Law in Salt Lake City, Utah and passed the bar exams in both Utah and California. She is also an active member of the California state bar. Ms. Rose holds an MBA from Westminster College in Salt Lake City, Utah, with an emphasis in Human Resource Management and Training and Development, and a BSBA from University of Phoenix, Salt Lake City, Utah.

Samantha Folb Headshot

 

 

Samantha Folb, J.D.

Forum 2

12:30 p.m. - 1:30 p.m.

Samantha Folb, J.D. is a trained attorney, human resources professional, motivational leader, and creative problem solver. Samantha started her journey with the California Community College System at Cabrillo College where she established the District’s Title IX and Civil Rights Compliance office. She then transferred to the West Valley-Mission Community College District where she served at the Director of Training, Compliance, and Employee Relations. In this role, she drove efforts to expand the District’s compliance and employee training programs. She also oversaw the development of the District EEO plan and collaborated with leaders across campuses to build anti-racist and equity-minded programing at both colleges.  

Samantha was born and raised in California. She received a bachelor’s degree in Politics from the University of California at Santa Cruz and a Juris Doctor degree from the University Virginia School of Law.
