Recent allegations of sexual abuse against César Chávez, now confirmed by a close colleague of Chávez and fellow leader of the United Farm Workers movement as well as multiple sources, are deeply troubling. We recognize that many people in our community have deep personal connections to Chávez's legacy, and that this news may bring complex and difficult emotions. We want to acknowledge that directly, and to affirm that your well-being matters to us.

 

During moments like this, it is important that we care for one another and ensure that support is readily available.
