Dear Colleagues:
The District Police Department has received concerns from faculty and staff regarding
students parking in designated Staff parking places at all locations.
To address this issue, starting on November 1, 2025, the Police Department will implement the following enforcement procedures:
Fall Quarter 2025 (Sept–Dec)Employees
- Parking is FREE
- Temporary hanger-style paper permits are available for Fall 2025 only
- Pick up your free permit (one per employee, bring staff ID):
- Foothill (main) Police Department – Campus Center Room 2103, 12345 El Monte Road, Los Altos Hills
- Display the permit on your rear view mirror or dashboard so it is clearly visible.
- Parking enforcement starts November 1, 2025. Warnings will be issued for the first two weeks, then citations for vehicles parked in staff spaces without a permit showing.
Students & Visitors
- Parking is free
- Do not park in staff-designated spaces
Starting with the winter 2026 quarter, a new online system will be in place for students and employees to obtain free parking permits.
