League for Innovation in the Community College

Report highlights district's record of excellence, equity, and innovation

The League for Innovation in the Community College is an international nonprofit organization with a mission to cultivate innovation in the community college environment. The top executives from 19 of the most influential, resourceful, and dynamic community colleges and districts in the world comprise the League’s board of directors and provide strategic direction for its ongoing activities. The Foothill-De Anza Community College District is a founding member of the League and has served on the board from the beginning.

Reaffirmation to the League board is required when a new chief executive joins a League board institution, as occurred in August 2015 when Judy C. Miner became district chancellor. In fall 2016, the district submitted a comprehensive report to the League in support of its continuing board membership (see report below). On Feb. 8-9, 2017, a delegation from the League board took part in a site visit to the district. The visit included an Innovation Showcase featuring presentations by faculty, staff and students from 12 college and district programs.

On March 10, 2017, the League for Innovation Board of Directors reaffirmed the Foothill-De Anza Community College District as a League board member institution.
