Achieving
environmental sustainability is a core value of the Foothill-De Anza
Community College District. The Board of Trustees, faculty, staff,
administrators, and students are proud of our achievements in energy
efficiency, natural resource preservation, and environmental
stewardship, but know that we have so much more to accomplish in the
months and years ahead. The challenge to "green" our colleges and

The Kirsch Center for
Environmental Studies at De Anza College recently received
LEED® platinum level certification, the highest rating available, from
the U.S. Green
Building Council. The Kirsch Center is the first community
college building to receive this rating.
The Board of Trustees, Foothill-De Anza Community College
District, recently adopted a revised Sustainability Policy 3214.
