The Foothill-De Anza Community College District will host a workshop for the region's small businesses on how to sell their goods and services to the district, the largest community college district in Silicon Valley. The Silicon Valley Small Business Development Center is co-sponsoring the event.
Information from the workshop will also apply to doing business with other community college districts and public agencies. Details follow:

"The board of trustees has emphasized outreach to the area's small businesses, and we believe this workshop will be an excellent addition to providing this," said Chancellor Martha J. Kanter. "We look forward to supplying attendees with information on bidding and purchasing processes and much more."
Trustee Hal Plotkin will speak at the workshop, which will feature expert staff from the district's purchasing and facilities departments. The event will include a plenary presentation and business-specific breakout sessions. Personalized assistance will be provided through the breakouts and individual question-and-answer opportunities.
The Foothill-De Anza Community College District has served the communities of Silicon Valley for almost 50 years, providing workforce education and programs to prepare students for transfer to four-year institutions.
