The Foothill-De Anza Community College District celebrated its advances in energy sustainability and environmentalism--including the installation of more than 780 kilowatts of solar electric and energy-efficient cogeneration projects on the colleges’ campuses--at an event July 20 attended by members of the community, industry and public officials. The improvements will save the district about $800,000 annually and benefit the environment.
