K-12 and the Bridge to Higher Education Serves as Theme for Community Forum

 


Renowned Stanford University Professor of Education Michael Kirst, director of Policy Analysis for California Education (PACE), was the keynote speaker at the March 29 community forum "K-12 and the Bridge to Higher Education," held at Foothill College. The Foothill-De Anza Community College District sponsored the event along with Joint Venture: Silicon Valley, Inc., and the Silicon Valley Leadership Group (SVLG).

Panelists included Mary Frances Callan, superintendent, Palo Alto Unified School District; Rich Fischer, superintendent, Mountain View-Los Altos Union High School District; Bernadine Chuck Fong, president, Foothill College; Brian Murphy, president, De Anza College; and Steve Rowley, superintendent, Fremont Union High School District.
