The De Anza College community celebrated the grand opening of the Science Center on Oct. 1. Doing the ribbon-cutting honors is Natalie Foster-Mahar, president of the De Anza Student Body. Others on the platform include Foothill-De Anza founding trustee Robert Smithwick; Chancellor Martha Kanter; Agilent Technologies Chairman, President and CEO Ned Barnholt, keynote speaker for the ceremony; De Anza Dean of Biological, Health and Environmental Sciences and Workforce Education Stephanie Sherman; De Anza President Brian Murphy; De Anza Dean of Physical Science, Math and Engineering Anne Leskinen; and Foothill-De Anza trustee Sandy Hay.
